A rough translation of the USI-AIT call for a general strike on October 21 |
The Unione Sindacale Italiana – International Workers' Association: along with other single unions C.U.B., Sincobas, Sult, CNL, Cib-Unicobas - has proclaimed a NATIONAL GENERAL STRIKE of all public and private sectors for the whole day, also other sectoral and territorial unions have decided to join the mobilisation
To exporess their total opposition to the so-called reforms of the TFR. The points of the struggle which we invite workers to join are the following:
· Against the theft of the TFR and the swindle of the pension funds, for the relaunch of public social security.
· Demand wage increases of 250 Euro monthly, an automatic sliding scale to defend salaries and pensions from increases in the cost of living.
· An end to precarious work, introduction of the social wage supported by salarial yields.
· For the withdrawal of Italian troops from the military occupation of foreign countries and against the abolition of civil and social freedoms happening today in Italy and the consequent militarisatoin of the State.
· Against the Bossi-Fini laws, and the abolitione of the c.p.t.
